How About A Post To KTR's Son As Well?

The way Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had sent his grandson K Himanshu, son of Information Technology minister K T Rama Rao, to Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple at Bhadrachalam on Sri Rama Navami day to present clothes to the deity has drawn a lot of flak from various quarters.

Already, Himanshu has been behaving like a de facto heir-apparent of KCR and KTR, making his presence felt in every official and unofficial functions. He has even been giving interviews to media.

Naturally, people are asking in what capacity Himanshu is being allowed everywhere and given prominence at the cost of the ministers and officials.

“If KCR wants to project his grandson as the future chief minister, let him give some post or the other to him. Nobody would take any objection. But just because Himanshu happens to be KCR’s grandson, he should not be entertained in official functions,” a Congress leader said.

He alleged that at present, KCR’s family is dominating the government in the state and ministers have been reduced to mere dummies.

“At this stage, if Himanshu  is also allowed to wield power unauthorisedly, where is the need for a political party?” the Congress leader asked.
