We had reported some time back that Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao is likely to give in to pressure and join TRS any time soon.
While the move looks imminent, Krishna Rao appears to be totally confused. Though he maintains that he will be joining TRS very soon, he has gone to meet Chandra Babu Naidu. Since Babu was busy and couldn’t give him time, he said he would come back to meet him tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Krishna Rao insists that Chandra Babu is like a father figure to him. Even if he loses out personally, he says his primary objective is to include 26 castes from his constituency into the BC category. Krishna Rao says if the TRS government agrees to this clause, then he will join the party soon.
He says he will also explain the present situation to Chandra Babu. On the other hand, he says he is aware that if he joins TRS at this juncture, he will surely lose. But he claims that he hasn’t taken the decision just for his personal gains.
Now, it is not clear if he does not want to leave TDP or if he is being forced to join TRS. Or, is he trying to keep Babu and KCR in his good books? Well, there surely seems to be some behind-the-scenes story here.
