There was a time when all his films were failing at the box office. Barring Gamyam, he did not have a film that was etched in the minds of audiences. Then, Run Raja Run happened and Sharwanand had the big surprise hit. Though no one ever doubted his capabilities, Sharwanand’s films are now closely followed by young audiences.
Right now, his latest film Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju is playing in theatres. As it is being called a ‘feel good’ film, only audiences who love that genre, are watching it in theatres.
So, Sharwanand is once again desperately in need of a hit to sustain the success of Run Raja Run.
If he can manage a hit now, he will enter the league of bankable heroes. But most heroes usually make some wrong moves and which turn costly later. Let’s hope that Sharwanand makes wise choices and emerges as a minimum guarantee hero.
