That in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, only its president K Chandrasekhara Rao and his family members are heroes and all the other leaders are mere dummies was once again evident from the way Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah went head over heels to defend his boss.
When media persons asked him about the controversy over KCR pulling him up in a public function in Warangal, the Deputy Chief Minister reiterated on Saturday that KCR was like father figure to all TRS men and therefore, there was nothing wrong if he pulls up the ministers or legislators in the interest of public. He accused the opposition parties of politicising the issue.
Rajaiah alleged that the Opposition parties were trying to make a mountain out of a mole by blowing KCR's comments out of proportion.
He ridiculed the Congress leaders for their criticism against KCR and said the same Congress leaders including K Jana Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah remained silent when the then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy refused to grant funds for farmers of Telangana.
He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy's comments against farmers were harsher than those made by KCR against him.
