HC Verdict, A Slap On KCR Face

HC Verdict, A Slap On KCR Face

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah today slammed the State government for its unilateral policies with regard to FAST and Number Plates schemes.

Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Lakshmaiah termed the High Court verdict on these two schemes as a slap on the government.

At least now, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should mend his policies to live up to expectations of the people, he said.

The court passing strictures against the TRS Government should be an eye-opener to the Chief Minister, he said.

Ponnala said the CM is not keeping his promises and only 25 per cent of crop loan waiver was done. He also rebuked the CM, Ministers and other TRS leaders for slamming the Opposition parties.

He said the CM should give Rs 1 lakh crop loan waiver to all farmers as promised. The Congress will fight for the cause of the farmers if the government failed to keep its promise, he added.

Lakshmaiah expressed serious concern that investments may not come if the government adopts false policies with regard to Metro Rail Project.

He took serious exception to the government for finding fault with L&T and Metro Rail authorities. This will only add to the confusion and the companies will go back from investing in the State if the government faults the world noted L&T, he objected.

He said Hyderabad brand image cannot be put at stake instead the government should come up with clarity and resolve the issue of Metro Rail.
