Half Of TRS Ministers Are TDP Defectors!

It sounds interesting – 10 out of 18 ministers in Telangana Rashtra Samithi Cabinet including Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao are from Telugu Desam Party, which had strongly opposed the formation of Telangana State in the past.

Apart from KCR who had served in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet in the past, others ministers who defected from the TDP are: Kadiam Srihari, Naini Narasimha Reddy, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Tummala Nageshwara Rao, P Mahender Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, Dr Lakshma Reddy and Ajmeera Chandulal.

Of the remaining, four ministers – T Padma Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao, G Jagadeesh Reddy and A Indrakaran Reddy were hardcore Congress party members in the past. Only K T Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Etela Rajender and Mahmood Ali, who have been with the TRS right from its inception.

Pointing out this “kichdi” cabinet of KCR, the TDP leaders are pointed out that during his eight month rule, the TRS president has thrown all the moral and ethics to wind. He openly encouraged defections in other parties in violation of Anti-Defection Law.

For the first time in the history of India, a MLA belonging to opposition party, was inducted into the cabinet, without making him resign from his post, they alleged.
