Mining baron and former Bharatiya Janata Party minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who has been on bail with regard to illegal mining scam case, is all set to stage a comeback into power politics in the next elections.
Though he was suspended from the BJP after the CBI case against him, Gali is hopeful of returning to the BJP by 2018.
He told media in Bellary that he would not contest the direct elections, but would strive for the BJP’s victory in Karnataka in 2018, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 2019 elections.
Claiming himself to be BJP loyalist, Gali said he would take up any responsibility given by the party and see that the BJP under the leadership of Yeddyurappa would win Karnataka elections.
He also claimed that he was a staunch follower of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed confidence that Modi would continue as PM after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as well.
