Forget Chopper, No Diesel For Ambulances!

Deputy CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday requested Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take immediate steps to improve the medical and health department in the State.

Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Vikramarka said contrary to the promises made by the Chief Minister of using helicopter for medical services in agency areas, the government has failed to provide diesel for the 104 and 108 ambulances for emergency services.

He said Khammam RMO Ravi Ratna Prasad himself got affected with dengue and he could not get proper medicines.

He said there is an acute shortage of medicines for Dengue and other viral diseases. He said two deaths due to snake bites have been reported in Khammam due to non-availability of antidote.

Vikramarka said that the medical conditions in Adilabad, Khammam and Karimnagar are worst. He advised KCR to visit Osmania General Hospital and Gandhi Hospital in the city where poor patients have been facing difficulties due to lack of medicines and other facilities.
