All parties are equally responsible for bifurcation. However, the Congress has been made solely responsible for the act and this has impacted the party’s fortunes during the 2014 general elections, says ex minister Kondru Murali.
Though the Congress party went ahead with bifurcation after consulting all political parties in united Andhra Pradesh, at the end, all blame has been pushed on to Congress, he said. The party lost due to dirty politics played by other parties, he opined.
Coming to the contentious issue of finalizing the new capital, he said Vizag should be made the capital of Andhra Pradesh as this would precipitate the growth process. But Babu was trying to appease people who pumped in money for TDP to win during the recent polls, Murali alleged.
However, TDP leaders are denying his allegations and they are counter alleging that the Congress leaders are making baseless allegations after being wiped out during the recent polls. They say that Congress is merely reaping what it sowed.
