There seems to be no end to the atrocities perpetrated on the rural people in the name of 'new capital' by Chandrababu Naidu.
The TDP will be depriving the farmers of not just their livelihood and farms but also their homes.
Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao announced in Guntur that at least four villages in Guntur in the new capital area would have to be evacuated. He said that the names of the villages will only be known after the master plan is submitted by Singapore.
There are rumors doing the rounds already regarding which villages which will be evacuated and understandably, there is great consternation among the villagers.
Having deprived them of their lands and livelihood, does Chandrababu now expect these villagers to give up their homes as well and be flung into a new environment where they would have to start from scratch again?
What is this daylight robbery taking place in Andhra Pradesh in the name of new capital?
Just for the purpose of making his community and henchmen richer, why is the CM playing with the lives of so many people?
How would Chandrababu feel if he is kicked out of office overnight and also thrown out of his house in the name of development?
When the government that is supposed to act as a parent to the farmers becomes their biggest nemesis, where shall these poor rural folk go to for justice? Can they make endless trips to the judiciary in an atmosphere of fear and huge uncertainty?
