Everyone knows that all the Ministers in KCR's cabinet barring KTR and Harish Rao are mere dummies including Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy.
However, while the remaining Ministers may be credited with at least a modicum of intelligence, the same cannot be said of Nayani.
And he proved his superb intellect once again in the Assembly while replying to a query on the increased menace of chain-snatching in Hyderabad.
Reeling of statistics regarding chain-snatchings, he said that the number of incidents in Hyderabad was 232 in 2015, 523 in 2014 and 657 in 2013. Only 14 snatching cases have been reported so far this year. Thereby, the Minister concluded that bifurcation proved to be a good thing for Telangana as the incidences of chain-snatching have come down.
One cannot help marveling at the intelligence of the Home Minister in linking chain-snatching to bifurcation. Indeed, this is the same gentleman who said that the SIMI terrorists who gunned down Telangana policemen at Suryapet bus station were highway robbers.
Surely, ‘Bangaru Telangana’ is only a furlong away under such geniuses.
