The biggest headache for Chandrababu Naidu right now is neither Modi nor Jagan, it is the Secretariat employees.
Poor CBN is acquiescing to almost their demands for shifting to Amaravati but just when it appears that everything has been settled, they come out with another set of demands. And Naidu cannot be angry with them.
The last time that he was CM, he made them all go out of their offices and plant saplings and do other manual work in the name of ‘Janmabhoomi’. Naturally, they were so pissed off that they voted him out of power.
Now, shifting to Amaravati is like another Janmabhoomi programme for them. They’d rather live like second-class citizens under KCR in Hyderabad.
A majority of employees of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat have emphatically articulated the view now that instead of shifting in phases from June 27, they should represent to the government to extend time to shift all of them in one go in March or April 2017, when the entire temporary Secretariat at Velagapudi will be ready for occupation.
Well, the drama with the employees will go on for some time. Naidu takes advantage of the farmers, employees take advantage of Naidu, etc etc.
