As the drama at the Centre inches towards a conclusion, the politics of opportunism is evident in full swing in Andhra Pradesh.
All Congress leaders are now looking for greener pastures in a bid to protect their turf.
However, ethics is the last thing they pay heed to. Dharmana Prasada Rao, the ex-revenue Minister in Kiran’s cabinet used to come down heavily on YS Jagan accusing the latter of ill-gotten wealth, etc. but now when he has clearly realized that Congress stands no chance in Seemandhra, he has joined Jagan’s YSRCP.
Then, there is Minister Galla Aruna Kumari who is ready to jump ship. A ticket for her son, Galla Jaydev has almost been finalized by the TDP and it is just a matter of time before she formally joins the TDP.
What was sad to see was that at a recent meeting of Chandrababu, Aruna Kumari shared the dais with Chandrababu and kept silent as Chandrababu spewed venom on the Congress Party of which she is a member and Minister.
