Don't blackmail investors, KCR tells Oppn

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday appealed to the members of Telugu Desam and Congress to abstain from blackmailing the investors as it will cost dear to the new State of Telangana in real estate and business sector.

The Chief Minister exhorted the investors and businessmen to discourage the parties demanding money and bring it to the notice of the government for serious action if anything goes wrong.

During a budget discussion on Thursday that saw heated exchanges, the CM said giving trouble to investors will show negative impact on the State’s growth.

“My Home is a noted six star Crisil rated company in South India which got the land in an open bidding,” he said.

The CM, while cautioning the Opposition members to abstain from mudslinging activity, stated that the government has to pave way for hassle free environment for businesses in the State.

If the members target the investors and businessmen, they would not show interest to enter the State for investment, he said.

The Chief Minister appealed to the Opposition members to desist from disturbing the House by making false allegations against the companies and those at the helm. If they are harassed, the investors will not show any interest in the new State, he said.

“Let us not fight, instead implement a plan of action to encourage new investors and business tycoons”, KCR said.

He also criticized the Congress and Telugu Desam parties for trying to disrupt the proceedings of the House for false prestige and propaganda.
