As many as 18 MLAs from YSR Congress party took a plunge into the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh and a few more are said to be in the queue.
But, the surprising aspect of these defections is that barring one or two, none of these MLAs has made any serious comments against Jagan so far.
While joining the TDP, most of them said they had taken the decision to quit the YSR Congress party only for the sake of development of their respective constituencies.
While Jaleel Khan is the only MLA who has been making wild allegations against Jagan, Jyothula Nehru is confined to making political comments against Jagan sparingly. All the others, including Bhuma Nagi Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy, Kidari Sarveshwara Rao and Gottipati Ravi Kumar, have been diplomatically silent on Jagan.
Obviously, this is causing a sort of suspicion among local TDP leaders. They are of the view that these MLAs are going soft on Jagan even after joining the TDP and are knocking away the constituency development funds.
While the defected MLAs are enjoying powers and funds, the local TDP in-charges are lamenting that they have no work to do and respect to gain!
