It looks like decks have been cleared for Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh Naidu to join the cabinet of his father chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
According to reports from Vijayawada, the TDP politburo which is meeting on Friday to discuss various issues, is likely to pass a unanimous resolution requesting Naidu to take Lokesh into the cabinet.
And everybody knows there won’t be any big discussion in the party politburo on any issue and if Naidu proposes, everybody has to endorse it. For outside world, it appears Naidu has followed a democratic process and that he is taking his son into the cabinet only on the request of the party.
That the Lokesh entry into the cabinet is almost certain was evident from the meeting of Naidu with Governor E S L Narasimhan at Vijayawada earlier in the day.
The chief minister is understood to have discussed the issue of a minor cabinet reshuffle with the Governor. Secondly, Government chief whip Kalwa Srinivasulu also told the media that there was nothing wrong in taking Lokesh into the cabinet and the party would recommend the same to Naidu.
So, let us be prepared to see Chinna Babu to done the role of minister in Naidu cabinet, on the lines of K T Rama Rao in Telangana!
