Dattatreya claims credit for Metro Rail project

Union Minister of Labor and Employment, Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday sought to claim credit for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.

Talking to press persons after calling on Governor ESL Narasimhan after his return from Delhi on being inducted into Narendra Modi Cabinet, Dattatreya said that Hyderabad Metro Rail was his dream project.

He said he would extend total support for the speedy completion of the Metro Rail project. On being operational Hyderabad Metro Rail will bring down traffic congestion he said adding that his priority is for Telangana State.

Dattatreya said that he would hold talks with Trade Unions on November 17 to withdraw their proposed agitation planned from Dec 5.

The Centre will launch “Shramayeva Jayathe” an ambitious program to do justice to workers he said.

Expressing concern on workers denying proper salaries as field inspectors are favoring the owners of the companies, he said that steps will be taken to check the problem.

The corruption in the department is becoming a curse for the welfare of the workers he said. Welfare schemes related to labor department will be made public through its website, he said.
