Cops Apply Brakes To Mudragada Again!

Cops Apply Brakes To Mudragada Again!

Former minister and Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has once again failed to take up his padayatra on Tuesday with the police imposing unprecedented curbs on his movement.

As soon as Mudragada came out of his house at Kirlampudi in East Godavari district to go to Ravulapalem for taking up padayatra up to Amalapuram from Wednesday, the cops pounced on him and pushed him back into his house, stating that he would be kept under house arrest.

The entire area was cordoned off by large number of police personnel so that no Kapu leaders would enter the area. Across the district, the police arrested Kapu leaders in a similar manner.

The cops even kept the entire area under surveillance using Drone cameras so as to prevent any kind of violent activity by the Kapu agitators.

Having no other option, Mudragada announced that he was postponing the padayatra and that he would speak to the media after the curbs are lifted.

This is the third attempt by Mudragada after the last year’s violent incidents at Tuni. Every time, the police thwarted his attempt and ensured that the Kapu agitation is fizzled out.
