Cold Storages In 'Cold Storage'?

As one traverses the landscape of Guntur district, cold storage units are a common sight. And naturally, for Guntur is famous for commodity crops such as Mirchi, Turmeric, tobacco etc.

Farmers can safeguard their produce in these cold storage units and sell them when they get a good price. But these units are going through a bleak period and despite a significant discount of 25% being offered, farmers are not turning up.

One reason is that with Mirchi being much in demand currently and a very good price available, nobody finds the need to stock it. Also, the demand for food crops has gone up drastically resulting in reduced acreage for commodity crops.

The media reports that the owners of the cold storage units are even considering closing them. With land prices skyrocketing in the area thanks to the new capital plans, these units might be shut down and real estate ventures might crop up in their place.

Should the cold storage units thank or rebuke Chandrababu?
