‘We have obliged the BJP-TDP alliance and given minister berths to BJP members, but please stay off TTD’ – apparently, this is what Chandra Babu told BJP recently.
It is a known fact that Babu and TDP have come into power after 10 years. Naturally, his party members have been expecting various posts.
While he cannot make everyone happy, Babu says he has to acknowledge their contribution by giving them important posts.
It is said that he is keen to give some key posts to Telangana TDP leaders and as a part of that, he is planning to make them members in the TTD Board.
As a part of the initiative, he has been cajoling the BJP leaders, it is being said. Though the BJP leaders have been counter arguing that where TDP has given them posts in the state cabinet, BJP has given TDP place in the union cabinet. But Babu has been trying to make peace with them by telling them that he has to appease the Telangana TDP leaders.
TTD chairman’s post is on par with the union minister’s post. Similarly, many politicians find membership in TTD Board lucrative.
So, it is being rumoured that Babu is trying to pacify those who could not make it to the cabinet and Telangana leaders by giving them key posts in TTD.
