It's time for celebrations in the family of media baron and Eenadu group chairman Cherukuri Ramoji Rao. Perhaps, celebrations are happening after a long, long time.
The happy news is that Ramoji’s granddaughter Cherukuri Sahari is getting married very shortly.
On Friday, the eldest daughter of Eenadu group MD Ch Kiron and Margarashi MD Sailaja Kiron, got engaged to a family acquaintance.
It is learnt the bridegroom belongs to a family who owns an international pharmaceutical company in Genome Valley in Hyderabad suburbs.
The engagement ceremony was held in a grand manner at Ramoji Rao’s house atop the hill in the Ramoji Film City, which was decorated in a big way.
However, the function is confined to mostly friends and relatives, and not political leaders and other VIP invitees. May be, they would get the invite for wedding.
For quite some, there have been no celebrations in Ramoji’s house. His younger son Suman died of illness a few years ago and most recently, Ramoji also fell seriously ill.
Now that he recovered completely, the family members might have thought the granddaughter’s marriage would make him more cheerful.
Kiron and Sailaja have two more daughters Bruhati and Divija. Sahari is graduate in communications and is tipped to be the future chairman of Eenadu group in future.
