Can Leaders Admit Children In Govt Schools?

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Md Mahmood Ali on Saturday came up with a suggestion that all political leaders, including elected representatives, should admit their children in government schools, rather than private schools.

“The leaders should stand as a model to the people by admitting their children in the government schools,” Ali said at a seminar.

He regretted that though good quality of education was available in the government schools, parents were favoring to admit their wards in corporate private schools.

“If the elected representatives admit their children in the government schools, it would be an inspiration to the common people to do so,” he felt.

He also expressed dissatisfaction over the overweight of school bags of school children. He made it clear that the TRS government was ready to fulfill all the promises made to the people during the elections.

He pointed out that he quality of education in the government schools was much better than that of private schools, he added. Some private schools were moulding students only in the angle of annual examinations, he added.
