Close on the heels of proposed cabinet expansion, former minister and MLA from Warangal Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Murali today called on Chief Minister K Chandrsekhar Rao and discussed on the current political situation and reportedly sought minister and MLC posts for themselves.
Surekha, who has been unhappy with the TRS leadership and not being active in the party affairs since denial of a ministerial post, made a strong pitch for a berth for herself and an MLC post for Murali from their home district.
It may be noted that Konda Surekha couple defected to the ruling TRS after Congress debacle in 2014 general elections.
According to the grapevine, Surekha is learnt to have impressed upon KCR for a ministerial berth for herself in the meeting.
The meeting assumes importance at a time when KCR himself announced in a recently held meeting that chief whip Koppula Eshwar will be elevated as a minister in the next cabinet reshuffle.
