It appears to be the season of defections and while many Telangana leaders are joining TRS, Andhra leaders are largely headed towards BJP as it appears to be keen on building a strong base in south now.
Stories are once again floating around about Congressman Botsa Satyanarayana joining BJP almost any time now.
Though the stories have been going around for some time now, Botsa has been active in the Congress. But for the past few days, he hasn’t been seen participating in any of the party activities.
Already, ex minister Kanna Lakshminarayana had bid goodbye to Congress and joined the BJP. So now, Botsa has come into focus as the Kapu leader who has good following in the uttarandhra region.
It has been observed that the BJP has been trying to grow in the state by attracting the Kapu leaders and accordingly, the leaders belonging to that community too are keen on joining the party. They feel by being in BJP, they can emerge as an alternative to TDP in the coming days.
It is a widely known fact that there is animosity between Botsa and TDP. So, if Bosta joins BJP now, it is bound to turn into a major headache for the ruling TDP party.
Already, people like Kanna joining BJP hasn’t gone down well with TDP. There is also talk in political circles that Botsa has met BJP’s national president Amit Shah.
So, any development might not come as a surprise say political analysts.
