BJP Leaders Asked To Stay Off From Gali Wedding?

BJP Leaders Asked To Stay Off From Gali Wedding?

With Karnataka mining tycoon Gali Janardhan Reddy going ahead with the wedding of his daughter Brahmani, which is considered to be the“mother of all marriages” at Bellary from Tuesday,  more and more rumours are being floated in the social media to run him down, alleging that he is lavishly spending his black money on the marriage.

There were rumours till now that Gali is going to postpone the wedding as he cannot take out his black money on account of the ban on high-value currency by the Centre and also due to fear of raids by the eagle-eyed Income Tax department. But it has now been proved that all this talk was just a hoax to scuttle the marriage by hook or crook.

Now, the latest rumour doing rounds in the media circles is that all the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are going to boycott the wedding.

Apparently, the party high command is said to have asked its leaders from across the country, particularly those from Karnataka unit, not to attend the marriage since it would send wrong signals among the people.

“Since there is a strong belief among the people that Gali is performing his daughter’s wedding by spending huge amounts of black money, it would be counter-productive for the BJP if the leaders attend the marriage in the wake of Narendra Modi’s crackdown on black money. So, better stay off from the wedding,” party president Amit Shah is learnt to have told them.

If this rumour is correct, then the BJP leaders in Karnataka are definitely going to miss costly gifts to be given by Gali during the wedding!
