BJP, CPI Support TRS, TDP Opposes

The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Communist Party of India on Wednesday extended their full support to Telangana Rasthra Samithi for its Telangana Bandh call on December 5, to protest against the proposal of Rayala-Telangana state.

BJP state President G Kishan Reddy said the Centre should explain why the decision of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) for formation of Telangana state with 10 districts had been modified.

The CPI state Secretary Dr K Narayana also demanded that the move of R-Telangana should be withdrawn immediately. Mounting a scathing attack on the Centre, he said it has been playing football with the lives of the people by pushing forward different ideas. He criticised the Centre for trying to create differences between the people of different regions.

However, TDP leader Motkupalli Narsimhulu ruled out extending support to TRS bandh call.

“KCR is creating all sorts of troubles to stall Telangana, because he knows that the TRS will have no future once the new State is formed. That is why he is back at the old games of giving bandh calls. We don’t have to follow his line,” he alleged.
