Kanna Lakshminarayana has banked all his hopes on being made the head of Andhra Pradesh BJP. Purandeswari, Somu Veerraju, Narasimhareddy and Kanna have emerged as the front runners for the post.
Outgoing chief Haribabu is not averse to another term either. The Kanna camp and Purandeswari camp are lobbying hard for the post.
However, Venkayya Naidu’s blessings are apparently not with Kanna. But the latter’s supporters say that the Kapu community will move closer to the BJP if Kanna is made the head. They aver that he also has the cadre and financial muscle to be of use to the BJP.
In the eventuality that he does not get the top job, there is every likelihood that Kanna may join the YSRCP.
