Bad Omen For Lokesh Before Entering Cabinet?

It looks like nothing is going right for Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh ever since he was nominated for the MLC seat under MLAs’ quota and tipped for the berth in the cabinet of his father – Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

On Wednesday, a Telugu Desam Party worker Appasani Eshwar of Gaddamadugu village of G Konduru mandal in Krishna district committed suicide, expressing anguish over the neglect of genuine party workers by the TDP leadership.

Before committing suicide, he wrote a suicide note addressed to Lokesh, saying the TDP government was neglecting sincere party workers.

Eshwar, who had earlier worked as president of Telugu Nadu Students Federation, the student wing of the TDP said though he was not complaining about the party not giving any post to him or his friends, he was anguished at the way it was promoting those who had defected from  other parties.

“Save TDP from those selfish forces who had earlier worked for the defeat of the party. Goodbye,” he said in the letter.

Though the TDP leadership tried to hush up the suicide of Eshwar by destroying the suicide note, Eshwar posted the same letter on his Facebook page. This was a real embarrassment to Lokesh, at a time the party was celebrating its foundation day and Naidu is all set to expand his cabinet.

This is considered to be a bad omen for Lokesh. Soon after he filed his nomination papers, there was a controversy over his assets.

Subsequently, the party had to face the allegations of diluting the Agrigold case and Lokesh was the centre of the controversy.

Already, Lokesh got the stigma of being an iron leg for the party and one has to wait and see how the party’s fate turns after he becomes the minister in Naidu cabinet.
