Babu Gains An Upper Hand In Round 2

Babu Gains An Upper Hand In Round 2

A newspaper has carried a story saying that Chandra Babu has gained an upper hand in Round 2 of 'cash for vote' case.

The story says that though it did appear in the initial stages that Babu might be cornered thanks to the case, it now appears that he seems to be slowly gaining ground.

The story also mentions that the Telangana anti-corruption bureau which has been investigating the case hasn’t found enough evidence against Chandra Babu.

After arresting Revanth Reddy, the bureau hasn’t been able to arrest co-accused in the case Jerusalem Mathaiah. Also, they haven’t been able to figure out where the Rs 50 lakhs which they had recovered from Revanth had come from.

Added to that there was talk that some more prominent people would be given notices based on their investigation and that did not happen. Though there were varied opinions on Chandra Babu, no case has been filed and now Revanth has also been given a bail.

To top it all, nominated MLA Stevenson’s case has been turned down by the High Court. So Chandra Babu has emerged a winner at the end of it all.

Well, while AP government’s media advisor Parakala Prabhakar says that since no evidence could be provided, the case had weakened and the Telangana lawyers maintain that Chandra Babu is quite a pro in legal matters.
