Ayyanna Drifting Away From TDP?

If the speculations doing rounds in the media circles are to be believed, Andhra Pradesh minister for roads and buildings Ch Ayyanna Patrudu is distancing himself from the ruling Telugu Desam Party, though it is not clear whether he is looking towards YSR Congress party.

Ayyanna created a sensation of sorts by openly declaring that ministers, MLAs, MPs and other leaders from the TDP were involved in the sensational multi-thousand crore land scam in Visakhapatnam.

Following this, his cabinet colleague Ganta Srinivasa Rao wrote an open letter to the chief minister and party president N Chandrababu Naidu, asking for a CBI inquiry into Ayyanna’s allegations which he said had tarnished the image of the party and Naidu.

This has landed Naidu in trouble, as Ayyanna is a senior colleague and has reputation among the people. While appointing a three-member committee to resolve the dispute, Naidu gave a warning indirectly to Ayyanna that action would be taken if he violated the party discipline.

This is what Ayyanna is waiting for. Sources said if Naidu takes any action against him, it would mean the TDP president was shielding land sharks.

He already told the media that the constitution of SIT to inquire into the Vishakapatnam land scam had only enhanced the image of the TDP.

He clarified that he didn’t have differences with Ganta and said he got to know about Ganta writing a letter to the CM through the media. “Let us see what the committee will decide on my statements,” he said.
