Anakapalle MP Avanti Srinivas of the TDP created a flutter of sorts when he said he was willing to quit his post for a separate railway zone for Vizag.
Why for a separate railway zone and why not for special status? Even a small child knows that special status is the more important unfulfilled promise.
Maybe the MP feels that if he were to quit or a special status, he would be ridiculed for doing so after being in power for two years. More significantly, Avanti seems to be testing the waters for a possible skydive into the Jana Sena.
What could possibly bring the MP and Jana Sena together? Caste! Both of them are from the Kapu community! Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan in the Kakinada meeting said he would see to it that Avanti would get re-elected if he were to resign for the cause of AP.
Now Pawan Kalyan can only get Avanti re-elected on a Jana Sena ticket, right? So, if Avanti were to take up Pawan Kalyan on his offer, it would be the first sign of a possible Kapu consolidation under the Jana Sena.
