AP, TS Will Develop In Naxalites, Not Investments!

Loksatta founder president Jayaprakash Narayan lashed out at the pathetic governance of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and said under their rule both the states are sure to develop in turning more number of people as Naxalites.

He commented that AP and TS will not make any progress in attracting new investments or job creation, but they will definitely develop in Naxalites, thanks to inefficient and incompetent rule of Naidu and KCR.

"In Telangana, police themselves are engaged in shady deals, looted Rs 1,000 crore from farrmers and others by engaging in financing business, collecting huge interest on loans, encroaching properties that were kept as guarentee to secure loans. Despite all this, the government failed to initiate any action against anyone so far," Jayaprakah remarked.

"In AP,  officials looted Rs 1,000 crore belonging to cotton farmers in Kurnool, Prakasam, Guntur, West Godavari and Srikakulam districts. While the Cotton Corporation of India had purchased cotton worth only Rs 3,000 crore from farmers in these district, they manipulated the figures in records and claimed sales at Rs 4,050 crore and siphoned off over Rs 1,000 crore. Despite this, TDP government is in deep slumber and failed to come to the rescue of farmers and punish the corrupt," Jayaprakash said.

He accused politicians and officials of openly looting the public while both the CM's were busy touring Singapore, China etc, leaving governance to the winds

"The prevailing circumstances in AP and TS will only lead to increase in Naxalism as people out of anguish and frustration will be forced to take up weapons and become Naxalites. These conditions are not conductive for any fresh investments and no one would come up to invest in these states, unless both the governments come out with effective measures to curb corruption," Jayaprakash opined.
