Anam Viveka To Defect To YSRC?

Anam Viveka To Defect To YSRC?

Stage is set for the resignation of senior politician from Nellore Anam Vivekanand Reddy from Telugu Desam Party and his defection to the YSR Congress party, going by the reports from sources in the district.

Viveka, who defected from the Congress party into the TDP a couple of years ago, has been sulking for quite some for being denied the MLC seat by TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He met Naidu several times to lobby for the MLC seat, but it went to his rival Vakati Narayan Reddy.

This has angered Viveka and since then, he has been keeping away from the party activities. Though his brother Anam Ramnarayana Reddy was made in-charge of Atmakur constituency and was assured of the MLA seat in the next elections, Viveka has been feeling let down.

His followers, too, have been bringing pressure on him to part ways with the TDP.

Now, there are reports that Viveka is looking at joining the YSR Congress party which he was attacking in strongest words all these days.

Senior YSRC leader Bhumana Karunkar Reddy is said to be discussing with Viveka on the terms and conditions and in all likelihood, Viveka would join the YSRC sooner or later.

This will not only strengthen the YSRC, but also hit the morale of the TDP in Nellore, say sources.
