Anam Repenting For Joining TDP?

Maverick former MLA from Nellore Anam Vivekananda Reddy, who defected from the Congress party into the ruling Telugu Desam Party in search of greener pastures last year, is now said to be repenting for his decision.

Vivekananda, who camped in Amaravati for two days, managed to get the appointment of TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu only a couple of days ago, but just for two minutes.

He requested the TDP president to consider his name for the MLC seat under local bodies’ quota and also an MLA ticket for his son in the next elections.

But Viveka was shocked when Naidu bluntly said: “I know what to give whom. You better focus on the party affairs in Nellore district. I have admitted you into the TDP hoping that you would be an asset to the party because of your seniority. But I have been receiving a lot of complaints against you in the district. First set right yourself and I will take care of your interests later.”

A visibly stung Viveka is learnt to have broken down before some media persons and wondered whether he had done any mistake by joining the TDP.

Surprisingly, his brother Anam Ramnarayan Reddy is quite happy in TDP as he was assured of an MLA ticket and was made in-charge of Atmakur assembly constituency.
