Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav believes that it is the media which is responsible for his party’s loss in the recent elections and also the bad publicity which UP has been getting in recent times regarding law and order and safety of women.
He is now taking his revenge on the media. Not only has he stopped meeting journalists, giving interviews or even answering any of their questions, he has also ordered a 300 per cent hike in the rents of government houses allotted to scribes.
Three journalists have also been blacklisted from covering the ‘Vidhan Sabha’ proceedings after one of the journalists was found taking photographs on his mobile phone.
Journalists in Uttar Pradesh have also been banned from carrying their mobile phones to the assembly. But this rule does not apply to the legislators.
Akhilesh, you are certainly making a mistake again! no one can take on the media and get away with it.
