Telangana Congress party is a sinking ship, as more and more leaders from the party were deserting it, according to Bharatiya Janata Party deputy floor leader in the Telangana assembly N V S S Prabhakar.
He said there would be a massive change in the political mosaic of the State after the Presidential elections.
Only three leaders will be left in Telangana Congress and all the remaining leaders would desert it, he said, adding that the party would not have candidates to fight the next elections.
Apparently, he was referring to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy and vice presidents Md Shabbir Ali and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
He said the Congress in TS had lost its relevance and MLAs and MLCs belonging to the party will vote for the NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind. He also appealed to them not to waste their votes by casting it for Meira Kumar since Kovind’s victory was a foregone conclusion.
Prabhakar objected to Congress leaders’ statements denigrating the Presidential elections.
“Why didn’t the Congress bestow the highest honour on a Dalit leader when they had majority? What they are doing now is only shedding crocodile tears,” he said.
