Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao had been to the United States for two weeks in the name of bringing investments to the state.
He is learnt to have met bigwigs of Microsoft, Google and Cisco besides several industrialists. He even skipped the second anniversary celebrations of Telangana state formation.
One does not know what investments KTR had firmed up for Hyderabad and Telangana; but, now his father Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to visit the US in July once again in the name of seeking investments for Telangana.
According to officials, KCR is visiting US to sign MoUs with the companies which had earlier interacted with his son. They say the investment proposals could materialise only if the CM himself visits the US, meet them personally and signs MoUs.
In June 2014 when Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao became CM has visited Singapore, Malaysia and China though he obtained a passport. He had applied for a US diplomatic visa and obtained it in December 2014 but did not travel.
