Even though the Centre has pretty much made it clear that AP will not be accorded any special status, Chandrababu Naidu is mum on the issue.
In the past, he has frequently expressed his displeasure at the dilly-dallying of the Union government in sanctioning funds to AP, but now he has strangely remained silent despite a statement by Union Minister, Inderjit Singh that special status to AP was not under consideration and irrelevant now after adopting the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission.
What’s more, Chandrababu played the role of a slavish ally at the inauguration of the National Institute of Oceanography in Nellore, by expressing his hope that the Center will be kind enough to sanction several more projects to AP as specified in the AP Reorganization Act.
Maybe Naidu choose to be silent on the occasion as Union Ministers were present at the event including the backstabber of Telugus, Venkayya Naidu.
