Siddarth has become very busy in Tamil these days. This pure Tamil film of Siddarth was dubbed and released in Telugu by Lakshmi Ganapati films. Since Tamil producer didn't attempt to release it as bilingual, he might have understood that it may not fit into the taste of Telugu audience. Here is the review.

Story:
Prabhu (Siddarth) and his friends plan for the kidnap of Minister's (Avinash) daughter Ritika (Asrita). Minister orders the police cop Manoj (KK Menon) to get his daughter from kidnappers without letting the news out. But in the investigation, police cop knows that Prabhu is not a kidnapper but the lover of Ritika. Minister is worried that his daughter becomes major that night and hence he needs her badly. He also asks the cop to kill both of them if he fails to get her in time. Rest of the story is whether the couple fled happily on trapped in the shackles of police cop.

Performances:
Siddarth underplayed his character very well. He perfectly grooved in the role of an engineering first year student even at this age. Ashrita Setty's performance is quite normal. Though it's a debut for her she couldn't get brownie points due to lack of talent. KK Menon is ok. There is no scope to boast his specialty with the character given to him. Avinash played routine role. The fat dark guy among hero's friends could deliver some laughs here and there.

Coming to songs, 'neevevvaro..' is good. GV Prakash's background score is impressive. This film scored well technically despite small film. Cinematography and editing are good. First half is good but second half is bumpy. The confrontation scenes of hero with police are not at all good. The scenes like puncturing the jeep tyres with nails made the film mundane. The intelligence shown in first half is completely missing in the second.

Highlights:

  • First half

Draw backs:

  • Second half

Analysis:
Screenplay runs very well in first half. The narration is very gripping till interval. The background was explained in flash cuts of flash back crisply. The technique of making the characters narrate only the part known to them and the rest by others in interesting. It brings a new feel for audience.

Hero's intelligence of escaping from police using SIM cards and IMEI numbers of cell phones is impressive.

But the second half appears complete dumb. It goes in the worse way till the end. The second half is completely spoiled and killed the interest of audience heavily.

The love track was also pale.

On a whole, this film brings no high for the audience and especially with the dullness in second half, it marred.

Bottom Line: NH4- Road is not good.
