Story:
The story is based on a street called ‘Sivanna Veedhi’. Sivanna, a hardcore smuggling criminal lives in the place and he lives in camouflage. None can identify who Sivanna is. Finally an investigating journalist Seetha Maha Lakshmi (Gopika) from CNN unleashes the facts and secrets behind Sivanna and brings him into the trap of media with the help of four guys (Sarvanand, Natraj, Santhosh and Aryan).
Sarvanand plays the son of Vinod Kumar and Rajaya Lakshmi. Vinod Kumar plays a CI who gets killed in the mercenary of Sivanna.
Sarvanand, despite knowing the fact, lives irresponsibly. Gopika ignites revenge in Sarvanand and uses him to smoke out Sivanna.
Rest of the suspense factor, twists and turns have to be seen only on silver screen.
Performances:
Sarvanand performed really well and at times he appears to be going in the style of Hero Venkatesh, especially during dialogue delivery. Nataraj, Santhosh and Aryan also glued well with the requirement. All four are active and attentive in every aspect.
Gopika is wise and beautiful in the film. She performed to her best as investigating journalist. Her role proves to be main lead in the film.
Vinay Varma’s performance has to be laudable. He can expect better future on Telugu screen if recognized well by film makers.
Camera work speaks high about the film. Especially the shots while introducing Sivanna Veedhi horripilate the audiences with texture chosen by the cameraman.
Songs are pictured really well. They are good both to listen and watch.
Dialogues by Prithvi Raj are subtle and sane. He has good control over the story line and given the best output. Humor, seriousness and sentiment are in right mix in dialogues.
Editing and other departments also functioned well.
Direction is fantastic and the director didn’t lose the grip on audiences at any point.
Analysis:
First half of the film is humorous. Second half runs with seriousness and suspense. Climax proves to be sentimental. The film promises enough entertainment and suspense elements those keep family and mass audiences in attention. This is a different genre of movie.
Twists and turns are ably handled by the director. Response of the audiences is good. Despite heavy rainfall and in spite of not so renowned casting in the film, theatres have turned houseful. Laughter of audiences is observed especially in the first half.
We have to wait and see how far this variety will be lauded by Telugu audiences.
Final Touch:
This film is a must watch to know how the different genre of film can be made.
