Nostalgia: Nag Has The Last Laugh

It is a known fact that Nagarjuna did not have a smooth innings to the top league when he first entered the industry.

Being the son of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and owning a studio and production house did not help Nagarjuna one bit.

He debuted as a hero with Vikram in 1984 and the film was released in 1985.

At the time, Nagarjuna had a pretty lean frame and dull eyes which did not convey very many expressions. So, the audiences did not like him instantly and he was panned by critics.

Apparently, many suggested that he must not try to spoil the name of his illustrious father and get into business.

Akkineni too let his son choose his own path. Despite producing a few films for him and acting with him, he made sure that Nagarjuna made way for himself.

Now, he is considered to the most romantic hero of the younger generation and is an established name in business circles. As they say, Nagarjuna surely had the last laugh.
