We Can't Outdo Our Fathers

“There is an old saying, ‘A pundit’s son is a complete loser’. It is not possible for the sons to outdo fathers who are great achievers. Though many claim they are true successors of their fathers, it is tough to match up to the achievements of their fathers. And I am no different,” says character artiste Rao Ramesh.

Son of Rao Gopala Rao started his low-profile career in television and then went on to establish himself as a character artiste in films.

Right now, he is a busy actor in the industry. He is now considered as an inevitable choice to play the heroine’s father, brother, etc. Though his acting is being appreciated, he is yet to get his big break. Of course, he did play diverse roles like the one in Magadheera, Julaayi, etc.

Rao Gopala Rao is known for his inimitable style of dialogue delivery, which is very hard to achieve confesses Rao Ramesh. Though his father never wanted his children to get into films, it was his mother who encouraged him to take up acting, reveals Ramesh.

“It would be a huge achievement for me to if I can achieve at least 10 per cent of what my father achieved in my life time,” says he.
