Top 5: Flop Talk Couldn't Affect Rajinikanth

1) Kabali: Rajinikanth's gangster drama Kabali didn't live up to the expectations. Relatively inexperienced director Pa. Ranjith failed to get his script right even though Rajinikanth has come up with one of his finest performances.

Thanks to the superstar, Kabali is doing exceptional business in the Telugu states despite the flop talk. It has collected over 16 crore share from the Telugu states alone which is phenomenal for a dubbed flick.

2) Selfie Raja: Selfie Raja took the second place only because there were no other releases except Kabali in this week. Selfie Raja collections have drastically dipped after its first weekend. It will go down as another flop for struggling comedy star Allari Naresh.

3) Bichagadu: Bichagadu is into its tenth week and is still in the top 5. This talks volumes about how big a success it is. It is the biggest blockbuster in terms of return on investment. Buyers are vying for Vijay Antony’s upcoming film Shaitan after the success of Bichagadu.

4) Gentleman: Nani’s hit thriller Gentleman is still getting good collections across plexes in the weekends.

5) Sultan: Although Sultan had a steep fall after its first week run, none of the newly released Bollywood flicks could challenge its authority at the box office.
