Top 5: February Starts Off With A Bang

1) Nenu Local: After a dream January, the second month of the new year started off with a bang for Tollywood.

Nenu Local has had a phenomenal first weekend at the ticket window. It collected nearly Rs. 12 crore share in Telugu states in its first weekend and is looking good to have a steady run during the week days.

It needs to collect Rs. 20 crore from its theatricals to be termed as a hit. Going by the current trend it should breakeven in a couple of days.

2) Shatamanam Bhavati: Shatamanam Bhavati is still going good at the ticket window. The film is particularly strong in A centers. It is the first blockbuster of the year with over Rs. 30 crore distributor’s share.

The film is all set do 10 crore business in Nizam alone. This is an exceptional feat for a medium budget film.

3) Khaidi No. 150: Chiranjeevi made a historical comeback with Khaidi No. 150 that has collected over Rs. 100 crore distributor share.

It is the only film after Baahubali to achieve this feat. Khaidi No. 150 has recorded the best ever figures in Uttarandhra region and second best in all other areas except Nizam and overseas.

4) Gautamiputra Satakarni: Gautamiputra Satakarni is the first film in the fifty crore club for Balakrishna. Krish has made the hundredth film of Balakrishna a memorable one.

5) Kanupapa: Trade expected Mohan Lal to repeat Manyam Puli feat with Kanupapa. But poor publicity and classy content marred its chances. Collections have been pretty ordinary for Kanupapa right from the first show.
