Top 5: Fantastic First Weekend For Ghazi

1) Ghazi: Submarine war film Ghazi is not only receiving accolades from one and all, but also performing wonderful at the box office.

The film had a fantastic first weekend at the box office as it grossed around Rs.15 crore from all the three languages in India.

Telugu version obviously got the lion share with collections showing a gradual upward trend from Friday through Sunday. Even the trade didn’t expect this genre film to do this well despite the positive word of mouth.

2) Nenu Local: With no notable releases except Ghazi, Nani’s Nenu Local had another decent weekend at the ticket window to extend its super hit run.

The film has successfully breached the Rs. 30 crore mark and has set a new benchmark for Nani’s films by surpassing Bhale Bhale Magadivoy.

3) S3 (Yamudu 3): Threequel of Singam didn’t show much growth in its second weekend as buyers anticipated. It had an average second weekend and will end up as an average grosser in its full run.

It is near impossible for S3 to recover its costs as Winner is going to replace it in many theaters from this Friday.

4) Om Namo Venkatesaya: Buyers hoped that ONV would pick up in its second weekend as the word of mouth is positive. However, audience preferred Ghazi to ONV across the Telugu states.

Despite a decent second Sunday, Om Namo Venkatesaya will go down as a huge disaster with almost all its buyers losing over sixty percent of their investment.

5) Shatamanam Bhavati: Shatamanam Bhavati is still doing well in weekends and is successfully running towards fifty days. It is one of the biggest hits of recent times in terms of Return on investment.
