Top 5: Fantastic First Weekend For Dhruva

1) Dhruva: After not being up to the mark on its first day Dhruva has dramatically picked up on Saturday and did pretty well on Sunday.

Word of mouth has helped the film to defy the cash crunch which helped it to perform as good as any other super hit film on its first Saturday and Sunday.

On a whole, it is a fantastic first weekend for Dhruva at the ticket window and Monday being a holiday should help it to go further.

If it remains steady during the week days, then Dhruva could set eyes on another good weekend as there aren’t any big releases lined up for Friday.

2) Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada: At number two is Nikhil’s supernatural thriller Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada which is still raking in good numbers in its fourth week.

The film has collected nearly 15 crore share and has turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. EPC has completed twenty five days run in over a hundred screens and is marching towards the fifty days mark.

3) Manyam Puli: Mohan Lal’s Manyam Puli is at three by putting up a solid show in B and C centers. The film is being liked by all sections of audience thus making it a successful outing for the Malayalam superstar.

4) Befikre: Youthful promos and attractive lead pair ensured decent opening for Befikre across the plexes. However, poor word of mouth didn’t let Aditya Chopra’s film to sustain over the weekend. It will go down as a failure from the director who enjoyed hundred percent strike rate until this one.

5) Bethaludu: Trade expected another Bichagadu kind of magic from Vijay Antony but Bethaludu ended up as a damp squib despite its interesting premise. The film’s Tamil version has been doing well though as per Kollywood reports.
