Top 5: Chinnavadu Dominates The Show

1) Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada: The super hit supernatural thriller continued to dominate the box office for another weekend. The film had a great second weekend in spite of two new releases.

EPC remained the first choice of film lovers over the weekend with 90 to 100 percent attendance in all towns and cities. Buyers already have made handsome profits on it and are going to earn more in days to come.

2) Jayammu Nischayammura: Srinivasa Reddy’s family drama laced with comedy and human emotions opened to below par response at the ticket window.

The film is being appreciated for its noble intentions, but it needs to pick up if it has to recover the production costs. A predictable plot and slow first half seems to be working against the makers hopes.

3) Remo: The Tamil dubbed film Remo has had an okay-ish weekend. Sivakarthikeyan’s first outing in Tollywood market has been receiving mixed response from the viewers.

The film failed to get a good start on Friday and has shown little improvement on Saturday and Sunday. Sivakarthikeyan should come up with a better film to conquer Telugu market rather banking upon regular commercial entertainers.

4) Dear Zindagi: Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi had a pretty decent first weekend despite its limited appeal. Shahrukh Khan’s presence is surely working in its favor as the collections graph has gone upwards over the weekend. The film took second place in the weekend trends of BMS, Hyderabad.

5) Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo: Makers expected the film to pick up after it suffered heavily due to demonetization in its first week. EPC took over the box office by that time and all hopes of SSS were dried out.

Naga Chaitanya’s career best performance, AR Rahman’s soulful music and a few noteworthy moments of Gautham Menon’s brilliance will make it a memorable one though.
