Top 5: BB Retains Throne As Newcomers Bomb

1) Babu Bangaram: Last week's big release Babu Bangaram retained its number one place as new releases failed to make an impression.

This Venkatesh starrer collected a distributor share of over 20 crore in its first week and has had a decent second weekend at the ticket window. The film still needs to hold well during weekdays to be a safe venture for its investors.

2) Chuttalabbai: This film couldn’t put an end to Aadi’s bad run at the box office. Dated storyline and lethargic direction didn’t allow Chuttalabbayi to score at the ticket window.

Aggressive promotions did grab a few eyeballs but the film didn’t have much to impress the audience. It will go down as another dud for Aadi.

3) Srirastu Subhamasthu: Allu Sirish’s Srirastu Subhamasthu is having a steady run in the Telugu states. The film has collected decent shares till now and still running on shares in most of the centers. Thanks to the poor show from new releases, Srirastu Subhamastu is heading towards safe zone.

4) Aatadukundam Raa: G. Nageswara Reddy’s latest comedy is an outright dud with pathetic comedy scenes and stale family drama. Sushanth made a blunder by choosing this script after waiting for many years without signing any film. Aatadukundam Raa is a non-starter at the box office and will end up as huge disaster.

5) Pelli Choopulu: Pelli Choopulu is still getting decent collections during weekends. It has dominated the multiplexes as families and youth have preferred this one over other films in the market. It has also surpassed 1 million dollar mark in US. This is one of the biggest blockbusters of recent times in terms of return on investment.
