TDP to cling to BJP, till it is kicked out!

The Telugu Desam Party will continue to remain an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a part of the National Democratic Alliance, as long as the latter had no objection. The alliance will continue till the BJP itself wants to sever its ties with the TDP.

This is the policy the TDP is adopting, since it knows it is very difficult to return to power unless it has the support of the BJP. That is why TDP general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh says the TDP would like to sail with the BJP as long as the latter is willing.

“Unless BJP president Amit Shah or Prime Minister Narendra Modi issues a statement cutting off the friendship with the TDP, the alliance will continue. We wish both the parties contest the elections together in 2019 as well,” Lokesh told media on the completion of his 100-days in office.

Lokesh also disclosed that power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is also a friend of the TDP.

“He is fighting on people’s issues and bringing them to the notice of the government. We are trying to solve them. We always want to work with Pawan on people’s issues,” he said.
