Screen Buzz: A Fallen Icon!

There is clearly a sea change in the kind of language being used against Ram Gopal Varma. All along, people or his critics had only referred to him as a misguided genius, mad person etc. But the language was well within the limits of civility.

And probably the reason for that was the immense respect, people had for his filmmaking skills and intellectuality. But even that seems to have evaporated now.

Vangaveeti Radha started it by referring to Varma as a ‘Pakodi’ and ‘Gottam gadu’. And at the pre-release event of Khaidi No 150, Nagababu called him an Akku Pakshi.

True to style, RGV hit back at them in his own way on Twitter. But the kind of language now being used against Varma is probably an indication that his past glory or reputation would no longer inhibit people anymore.

The stage has been set by Radha and Nagababu for some choicy epithets in future.
